Time for a Tuck

For many people, time and age takes its toll on the body. For example, having a baby can lead to loose abdominal skin. Or losing a lot of weight may create hanging skin. In these and other situations, one thing can really help a lot. This is called a Southern California tummy tuck. With this procedure, excess skin is removed from the midsection. It leaves things nice and tight. Sometimes the muscles are firmed up underneath as well. If you think this may be of help to you, the best step is to check with a plastic surgeon!

A New Stomach

Are you embarrassed by a sagging stomach that hangs over your pants? Have you noticed that no matter how much you diet or exercise, that flabby abdominal area does not seem to get any smaller? If these are problems that you are familiar with, then you may be a candidate for a tummy tuck procedure.

This procedure, also known as an abdominoplasty, is a very common surgical procedure in which a Surgeon permanently removes a large, football shaped size of skin and fat from the abdominal area. After removing the skin, the Surgeon then stitches and/or braids the stomach muscles to give you that taut, tight tummy you either once had or have always wanted. Los Angeles tummy tuck is a very popular procedure among mothers as well as people who have undergone gastric bypass surgery, lap band surgery or have lost a significant amount of weight.

Once the skin has been stretched past the point of elasticity, short of surgical intervention, there is not much you can do to rectify the issue. It is recommended that you take a week or so off of work to recover, however you are never on bed rest after this procedure. In fact, we want you walking around, carefully and with assistance, the very same day of your surgery! Many of our patients report a new lease on life and say that they are exercising more, losing weight much faster in other body areas, and are generally happier and healthier.

There are important aspects of this procedure that you should discuss with your surgeon prior to booking. This is the same as for any procedure, such as rhinoplasty. Please schedule a consultation to meet with a Medical Director to get your questions answered and to determine if you are a candidate for this wonderful, life changing operation!

Summer

Many people find that the summer is the best time to do plastic surgery. They have time both to recover and to enjoy their results. One example is with Los Angeles breast augmentation. In this case there is plenty of time to really get the most out of the procedure.

Los Angeles Tummy Tuck

Does your abdominal skin hang over your jeans? Are you embarrassed to wear a bathing suit? Is shopping for clothes more of a chore than a hobby because nothing looks or fits well? If these sound like issues you must face every day, then there are options you can explore to kick these issues to the curb once and for all! A tummy tuck is a popular cosmetic surgery that men and women undergo to eliminate their stomach bulge for good. This procedure involves cutting out a large chunk of skin from the abdomen area and restitching the stomach muscles that taut, toned look. There is a small recovery period after this surgery and it is recommended that you take a week or so off of work and wait an additional week before returning to the gym. You are not on bed rest at any point after this surgery. In fact, the surgeon will want you mobile and walking around every few hours, carefully and with assistance, the very same day as your surgery. This is a wonderful and safe procedure that can give you the results you want and need. Be sure to schedule an initial consultation with your surgeon to discuss the surgery in detail as well as your medical history, pre and post operative instructions, and recovery period.

Giving Yourself a Lift

After pregnancy, and with age, many women notice that their breasts tend to sag and are no longer as perky as they used to be. They find that their nipples face downward and their breasts lack volume up top. While some women rectify this issue with a push up bra, others chose to undergo cosmetic surgery. A mastopexy procedure is also known as a lift. This cosmetic surgical outpatient procedure is performed in order to lift the breasts up to give them a perkier, younger appearance. This will get rid of the sallow, hanging skin and fill that skin in with natural volume.

Some women chose to do this procedure along with a breast augmentation. Women with smaller breasts that undergo a breast lift procedure may find that they are not as happy with the smaller size and want to fill out the volume with an implant. This procedure is similar to that of a breast reduction, which also has a natural lift involved in the procedure. By removing a pie wedge shape of skin from the bottom, it gives the tissue a lift. There are scars associated with this surgery, but most of them heal up to be practically invisible with time. Consult with a surgeon today to get valuable information and to see a photo gallery of before and after pictures of this procedure.
